Amazing photo. When I first saw it in the "critiqueable", it immediately stood apart from all the others. I love the focus in this picture, how the top eyelashes seem to blur out in space while the eye stays completely sharp, as does the skin around the eye. It gives the photo real depth. The tones in this photo seem to provide for a muted kind of contrast. As in, there is not much color variation yet I can still recognize what the color difference would have been if it were not a "blue and white" photograph. The detail in the pupil is staggering as well, the lights and darks in it seem dance around the iris. This is truly a great work, it's captivating and it makes one think what's behind the eye or what the eye is watching. Obviously, the originality of this photo is not very distinct since the "eye" picture seems to be everywhere I look; nevertheless, it looks good.
